Cost adjustments happen the moment you accept a PO.
When you accept or receive a purchase order you created, Procuro automatically updates the product's cost and inventory value in Shopify — using whichever method fits how you actually track cost: Weighted Average, FIFO, or Immediate Replacement.

You don't run a separate cost-update process. The moment you accept or receive a PO you created in Procuro, the cost and inventory value for every product on that order update in Shopify automatically — using the adjustment method you've chosen for that product.
Choose how cost is calculated
Three adjustment methods, one setting per product.
Method 1
Weighted Average
Blends what you already had with what just arrived. Procuro multiplies your existing inventory by its old cost, adds the new inventory at its new cost, then divides by the new total quantity — so one large incoming shipment doesn't swing your cost overnight.
Method 2
FIFO (First In, First Out)
Keeps each shipment as its own cost layer. Older, cheaper stock is treated as sold first — once it runs out, Procuro automatically shifts to the next layer's cost, so your reported cost always reflects what's actually left on the shelf.
Method 3
Immediate Replacement
The simplest option: the new cost replaces the old cost outright as soon as the PO is accepted. No blending, no layers — useful when you want your Shopify cost field to always match your most recent supplier price.
What updates in Shopify
Your cost field and your inventory value — both, automatically.
Procuro writes the adjusted cost straight to each product's cost-per-item field in Shopify, and recalculates total inventory value to match. No manual entry, no spreadsheet reconciliation, no gap between what a PO says and what Shopify shows.
